I’ve finally managed to speak with someone at the Lelung Dharma Tibetan Buddhist centre who can help me put on a taster day for them. I was walking by and dropped in to see if I could have a word with anyone involved in organising the complementary therapy days and got lucky this time. So now I have a fundraising day set for the 11th August, where I’ll be giving quick 25 minute taster treatments for £10 a go with all proceeds going to the temple. It will give some people who have heard of acupuncture but never tried it a chance to have a taster of what needling feels like, raise funds for the temple and help me get my name about town and with a group who are traditionally quite interested in natural therapies. Of course in 25 minutes you won’t get much. Normally the needles are left in for 20 minutes, so I’ll have to make some quick diagnoses and select some of the most major points for their condition with a minimal interview but it should not be too hard and will actually be a great experience for me to see to how much of my skills I can condense into such a short time. Anyone with complex conditions I will have to advise a full consultation, but there are generic points for sore backs, headaches, tiredness and so on and a few points that have very wide actions which you can include in almost any treatment.
So if anyone in Eastcote is interested in a quick treatment session for a tenner, come along to the Lelung Dharma Tibetan Buddhist Centre on August 11th.
